Pain, Comfort & Painless Dentistry
Is dental treatment at SONRISA really comfortable?
Our aim is to make treatment as comfortable as realistically possible.
We use gentle techniques and clear communication so you know what is happening at each step. We use modern local anaesthesia based on the clinical requirement and ethical practices.
You can read more on our Painless Dentistry page.
Will a root canal be painful?
With proper anaesthesia and modern techniques, most patients report only mild discomfort, if any, during the procedure.
Our focus is on numbing well and working calmly. Learn more on the Root Canal Treatment page.
I am very anxious about dental visits. Can you help?
Yes. We treat many patients who feel nervous about dental care.
We move at your pace, explain each step, and offer comfort-focused approaches.
For higher levels of anxiety, options like sedation (where appropriate) may be discussed
— see our Sedation Dentistry page.
Costs, Pricing & Discounts
How much does treatment cost?
Costs depend on the specific treatment, tooth, materials and complexity.
We follow a transparent pricing philosophy and share a written estimate before you start.
To understand our approach, visit the Transparent Pricing page.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes. We offer a 10% Ethical Support Discount for students and senior citizens on most clinical treatments.
This is part of our commitment to fairness and is not a temporary promotion.
Learn more on the Student & Senior Support Program page.
Are your prices the same for every patient?
Yes. Our pricing is standardised and does not change based on profession, perceived income or background.
Support programs for students and seniors are clearly defined and openly communicated.
Sterilization, Hygiene & Safety
How do you ensure instruments are safe and sterile?
We follow a multi-step process including cleaning, ultrasonic washing, pouch sealing, Class-B autoclave sterilization
and date-stamped storage. Pouches are opened in front of you at the chair.
Full details are available on the Sterilization & Safety page.
Can I see the sterilization area?
Yes. Our OpenCare™ layout makes the sterilization zone visible from designated viewing areas,
so you can see how safety is maintained.
Do you follow international standards for sterilization?
Our protocols and equipment are designed around international sterilization principles,
with hospital-level autoclaving and monitored cycles.
Clear Aligners & Braces
What is the difference between clear aligners and braces?
Clear aligners use removable transparent trays, while braces use fixed brackets and wires.
Aligners are more aesthetic and removable; braces are often better for certain complex corrections.
Visit Clear Aligners or Braces for more details.
How long does aligner treatment usually take?
Most aligner treatments take between 8–18 months, depending on tooth movement required and compliance.
Exact duration is planned after clinical evaluation and digital assessment.
Are aligners suitable for everyone?
Not always. Some cases are better treated with braces or a combination approach.
Our orthodontic team evaluates each case individually and recommends what is truly suitable for your bite and gum health.
Implants, Crowns & Restorations
When is a dental implant recommended?
Implants are usually recommended when a tooth is missing or needs to be removed and
you want a fixed replacement that feels closer to a natural tooth.
Read more on our Dental Implants page.
How long does it take to complete an implant?
In many cases, implant treatment is done in stages over a few months to allow proper healing and integration with bone.
Timelines can sometimes be shortened depending on bone quality and case selection.
What is the difference between metal, ceramic and zirconia crowns?
Metal crowns are strong but less aesthetic, ceramic and zirconia crowns are more tooth-coloured and aesthetic.
Choice depends on tooth location, bite forces and budget.
Details are provided on our Crowns & Bridges page.
Children, Gums & Common Dental Problems
When should I bring my child for a first dental visit?
A good guideline is around the time the first teeth erupt, or by the age of one,
and definitely by age three.
Early visits help build comfort and prevent problems. See Pediatric Dentistry.
My gums bleed while brushing. Is that normal?
Frequent bleeding is not normal. It may be an early sign of gum inflammation or gum disease.
A professional check-up and cleaning is recommended — learn more on our Gum Treatment page.
Why do my teeth feel sensitive to hot or cold?
Sensitivity can be due to enamel wear, gum recession, cavities or other causes.
A clinical examination helps identify the real reason and decide if you need a filling, desensitising treatment or other care.
Emergency & International Patients
What should I do in a dental emergency?
Severe pain, trauma, swelling or broken teeth may need urgent attention.
Call us or use the Emergency Dentistry page for guidance.
We do our best to accommodate urgent cases at the earliest possible slot.
Do you treat international patients or NRIs?
Yes. SONRISA DENTAL welcomes patients visiting from abroad, including NRIs and overseas residents.
Our international-standard systems, digital communication and planning approach make it easier
to coordinate treatments within limited travel time.
A dedicated dental tourism section will be available on our website.
Can I start aligner or cosmetic treatment during a short visit to India?
Often yes, depending on your case.
We can complete assessment, records and initial planning during a short visit,
and coordinate follow-up via digital channels where appropriate.
Timelines and feasibility are explained individually.
