Indications

When do you need crowns, bridges or dentures?

  • Root canal treated teeth that risk fracture without protection.
  • Teeth with large fillings and cracked surfaces.
  • Missing teeth causing gaps or bite collapse.
  • Generalized wear from grinding or acidic habits.
  • Existing dentures that are loose, painful or unaesthetic.
Crowns

Crowns – protection and aesthetics.

Crowns cover and reinforce a weakened tooth. They are especially important after many root canal treatments, and for teeth that have lost a lot of structure.

  • Metal-ceramic crowns for strength and durability.
  • Monolithic zirconia or ceramic crowns for better aesthetics.
  • Careful shade selection for a natural appearance.

Crown choice is explained clearly with pros, cons and expected longevity — aligned with our Transparent Pricing policy.

Bridges

Bridges – replacing missing teeth.

Bridges use neighbouring teeth as supports to replace one or more missing teeth. They are a fixed option, meaning you cannot remove them at home.

  • Good option when implants are not preferred or possible.
  • Helps prevent teeth from drifting or tilting.
  • Can be ceramic or zirconia based on the case.

We also discuss dental implants so you can compare approaches before deciding.

Dentures

Removable & full dentures.

For patients missing many or all teeth, dentures remain a widely used and economical solution.

  • Conventional removable partial dentures.
  • Complete dentures for fully edentulous jaws.
  • Flexible dentures where suitable.
  • Implant-supported overdentures in selected cases.

Comfort, chewing ability and speech are evaluated and adjusted over review visits.

Full-mouth planning

Bite rehabilitation & smile rebuilding.

When many teeth are worn, missing or heavily restored, we may suggest a staged plan known as Full Mouth Rehabilitation. This goes beyond single crowns — it looks at your bite, jaw position, aesthetics and long-term stability.

Comfort & expectations

How comfortable is prosthodontic treatment?

Most crown, bridge and denture procedures are done under local anaesthesia where required. Our goal is to keep procedures as comfortable as realistically possible — while being honest that mild sensitivity or adaptation phases may occur.

  • Local anaesthesia used when teeth are prepared.
  • Temporary crowns to protect teeth while final work is made.
  • Adjustments after fitting for bite and comfort.
  • Written instructions for care and follow-up.

This aligns with our broader comfort-focused dentistry philosophy without making unrealistic “zero discomfort” promises.

Dental tourism

Crowns, bridges & dentures for international patients.

For NRI and overseas patients, prosthodontic treatments are planned within a well-defined schedule:

  • Initial assessment and records early in the stay.
  • Preparation and temporaries placed in scheduled visits.
  • Try-in and final placement timed before departure, where feasible.
  • Coordination with accommodation plans as described on our Dental Tourism page.
FAQ

Prosthodontics – common questions.

How long do crowns and bridges last?
With good hygiene and regular check-ups, many crowns and bridges can last years. Exact lifespan depends on bite forces, habits, grinding and maintenance.
Will I be without teeth during treatment?
In most cases, no. Temporary crowns or provisional solutions are provided while final work is being fabricated, especially for front teeth or visible areas.
Are dentures uncomfortable?
New dentures always require an adaptation phase. We schedule adjustment visits to relieve sore spots and refine the fit, and we discuss realistic expectations openly.
Should I choose implants or bridges?
Both have advantages. Implants avoid taking support from neighbouring teeth, while bridges can be suitable when implants are not preferred. We compare options clearly during your consultation so you can decide confidently.
